What can IOM do?

If you want to return voluntarily to your country of origin and are accepted under the project, IOM Helsinki can help you with travel and other arrangements needed for your return. IOM will also assist you in getting a travel document, if you do not have one already.

If you are eligible for the project, you will receive travel tickets for transportation in Finland and flight tickets for your travel from Finland to your country of origin. You may also be able to receive reintegration support, but you will have to apply for it.

IOM personnel will assist you at departure from Helsinki Airport and at transits and return airports. If you need transportation in your home country to your final destination, IOM will try to arrange that as well.

In short, IOM offers you the possibility to return in a dignifed and humane manner, with assistance by IOM staff at airports during your travel and with support for your reintegration.
