During travel

The IOM staff member who meets you at Helsinki Airport will assist you with checking in to the flight and stay with you until your flight departs.

Before you travel to the airport, your social worker will give you a plastic bag with IOM logo. If your social worker does not have any IOM plastic bags, IOM will give you one at Helsinki Airport.

You must carry the plastic bag visibly during your whole travel. The plastic bag will help IOM staff assisting you at other airports to recognize you.

If you forget to carry the bag IOM may not recognize you, which means that you may not be assisted and could miss your connecting flights.
